Description: ax): Learning a second language includes being able to read at the level one can understand. Reading comprehension is important for Spanish students because many of them will go on to higher levels in Spanish. We need to support students whether they will go on to an advanced Spanish class or a regular Spanish class, to be able to read and feel comfortable answering questions about the reading. Per publisher, 21 Miniicuentos, Twenty-one short, short stories, in present tense, hook teen readers with one-page topical tales. Thorough discussion questions (written and oral) follow each chapter and ensure a beginning student's complete understanding of the story and dialogue. Use each as a filler lesson, or wrap a unit around the interaction and vocabulary. Examples of titles: Un mensaje de texto, Caos en el cine, Una hamburguesa en McDonald's and Una tarde en el Palacio Nacional. .
