Description: Safeguard the Stage will provide a secure, organized space for storing theatre tools, ensuring that students can safely engage in authentic, hands-on learning experiences. In our junior high theatre program, students build, paint, and design sets-activities that require the responsible use of real tools and materials. However, the lack of secure storage currently limits access and hinders opportunities for students to fully explore technical theatre.

With this grant, we will purchase a locking gate to enclose our tool area, allowing students to learn proper tool management, workshop organization, and collaborative problem-solving in a controlled environment. This addition will empower students to take ownership of their workspace, reinforcing accountability and professionalism that mirror industry standards.

By safeguarding our tools, we safeguard our students' ability to learn through authentic creation. The theatre will become a more functional and inspiring environment-one where students can confidently transform their ideas into tangible stage designs, learning valuable skills in technical theatre, teamwork, and creative expression.
