Description: The Friendswood Junior High Choir is requesting funding to purchase choir microphones & XLR Cords that will amplify and support our students' developing voices. At the junior high level, most students are still growing physically and vocally. Their voices are naturally soft and not yet strong enough to project in a performance space without strain.
Without microphones, students often feel pressured to sing louder than is healthy, which can lead to vocal fatigue or long-term damage. This not only affects their physical well-being but also their confidence and joy in performing.
By adding choir microphones, we can ensure every student is heard clearly, safely, and equally. This will improve performance quality, encourage participation, protect young voices, and enhance the audience experience at school and community events.
These microphones will be used regularly for concerts and assemblies, benefiting over 300 students each year. This one-time investment in durable equipment will have a long-lasting impact on our choir program and the broader school community.
