Description: Full Steam to the Spotlight will enhance authentic learning in our Junior High Theatre Department by giving students real-world experience in technical theatre and costume management. Costume preparation is a vital part of any production, and by adding a professional-grade garment steamer, students will learn how to care for and maintain costumes safely and efficiently-just as theatre technicians do in the industry.

This grant will allow students to take ownership of costume care, developing practical skills in fabric maintenance, time management, and backstage organization. Through hands-on learning, they will also strengthen collaboration, communication, and creative problem-solving as they work together to ensure every performer steps on stage looking polished and confident.

By integrating professional tools into our classroom and production process, Full Steam to the Spotlight bridges the gap between school theatre and the professional world. It empowers students to see themselves as capable, creative theatre technicians while building responsibility, pride, and teamwork. This grant will help our students bring every show to life-smooth, wrinkle-free, and ready for the spotlight.
