Description: Authentic learning in reading involves students applying literacy skills to comprehend and interact with real-world text. This grant will provide leveled, decodable texts (Bob Books) for small group intervention. This is an authentic learning experience because it:

Targets Individual Needs: Instruction is differentiated based on students' specific decoding skills.

Builds Foundational Skills: It focuses on the most fundamental skill for all future learning-phonics and reading fluency-in a small, supportive group setting.

Creates Confident Readers: Success with decodable texts provides students with the authentic, internal experience of being able to read, which is essential for continued engagement with all genres and subjects.
