Description: This grant provides a large, interactive, and reusable tool that allows students to physically model addition, subtraction, and number relationships. By using the giant number line, students transition from abstract rote memorization to authentic, kinesthetic problem-solving. They will literally "walk the line" or use manipulatives to represent jumps, which builds a deep, concrete understanding of how numbers work and relate to each other-a key skill for future algebraic thinking.

This grant also provides students with individual, reusable dry-erase 120 charts, allowing them to engage in hands-on exploration of number patterns, place value, and mathematical operations (addition/subtraction). The charts promote authentic learning by moving students beyond passive observation to active manipulation of numbers. They can physically circle, color, and mark patterns (e.g., skip counting, finding 10 more/less) to build a deep, personal connection with the structure of the number system.
