Description: This grant will provide a crucial literacy resource for English Language Learner (ELL) students at all grade levels: "The Zack Files" book series. These books offer high-interest, age-appropriate content with literary elements suitable for classroom instruction, while maintaining accessible vocabulary and sentence structure. This design addresses a common challenge for older ELLs: bridging the gap between chronological age and reading level. By providing captivating stories that are manageable to read, this encourages independent reading, builds fluency and confidence, and allows students to engage with literary concepts without being overwhelmed by inaccessible language. Ultimately, the grant ensures all students have equal access to engaging, grade-level content necessary for academic language development.
