Savor two days of art, history and government in Richmond, VA, the Nation's #1 City to Visit according to CNN.
The winning bidder will receive $500.00 in gift cards to Hotels.com where you can choose your own accommodations.
You will then experience a VIP Curator or Educator-led special exhibition or collection tour at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, named one of the nation's top museums in The Washington Post's March ranking and featuring the country's largest collection of Faberge treasures and other masterpieces from around the world. After being inspired by the beauty and creativity of VMFA's collections, enjoy lunch or dinner at Amuse, one of Richmond's top-rated restaurants. Offering stunning views of VMFA's Robins Sculpture Garden and Cochrane Atrium, Amuse's menu rotates with the seasons and the museum's special exhibitions, focusing on locally sourced ingredients that pay homage to Virginia's agricultural bounty.
Your next stop is Capitol Square, the site of Virginia's state government since 1780. Tour the State Capitol, designed by Thomas Jefferson and the home of the oldest elected legislative body in North America, the Virginia General Assembly (established in 1619), followed by another docent led tour through Virginia's Executive Mansion, home to Virginia's Governors since 1813 and the oldest governor's residence in the country still used for its original purpose. Enjoy the Art Experience, a rotating series curated and hosted by the First Lady featuring Virginian art from over the centuries; the current exhibition commemorates the Nation's 250th founding. (Available 10am-2pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays).
The Hotels.com gift cards do not expire, however the experiences must be used by December 12, 2025. Airfare not included.
