Remote Snowmobile Adventure to Tang of the North Lodge - Northwestern Ontario
Embark on the ultimate winter adventure with a 3-4 day snowmobile expedition to Tang of the North Lodge, a remote fly-in fishing resort tucked deep in the wilderness of northwestern Ontario, Canada. Adventurers in on this trip must have their own reliable snowmobiles and some experience in untracked snow. Package includes this trip as described for 4 - 8 people. Food at Tang will be provided with some help cooking. There will be no running water on this trip, but plenty of water from lake for cleaning dishes etc.
Your journey begins with a scenic drive up a logging road - about 1.5 hours north of the International Falls/Fort Frances border - followed by a 15-30 mile snowmobile ride through untouched wilderness to reach Tang. Once there, you'll enjoy untracked snow, peaceful isolation, and world-class lake trout and walleye fishing in one of the most beautiful, pristine settings imaginable.
Lodging: Insulated cabins with propane heat (no running water - experience authentic off-grid living)
Activities: Lake trout fishing, snowmobiling, and exploring untouched Canadian wilderness
Timing: Targeting March 2026, dependent on snow conditions and scheduling with your host, Mark Schneider
Requirements: U.S. Passport or Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) required for Canada entry
This once-in-a-lifetime trip is ideal for the true adventurer - where silence, snow, and nature create an unforgettable experience far from civilization.
