What makes the Britepaths Back to School program unique?

Britepaths works with a local wholesaler whose non-profit rate allows us to purchase new items at a greatly reduced cost. This allows us to provide more of the items students need than donated in-kind items sourced from big box or online retailers.
Our grade-appropriate supply kits contents have been vetted by our partners at Educate Fairfax and include more than a dozen items deemed essential for back to school preparedness.
In 2025, Britepaths will host our first-ever Back To School Fair for children and families, where children will receive their new backpacks and supply kits; participate in reading activities; and express their creativity at our friendship bracelet-making, notebook and folder decorating, and builder stations. Parents can also meet with Britepaths staff and volunteers to learn about our other programs and services.
And, this year Britepaths is giving back to the teachers who give so much to our community's children throughout the school year. Sixty public school teachers will receive their own Back To School bags containing vital community supplies, like tissues and hand sanitizer, as well as a $25 Staples gift card to use for other classroom needs.
