This certificate entitles the bearer to a 2026 Safety Town Registration for one child at least 5 years old entering kindergarten in fall 2026, with registration to be completed by March 1, 2026. Safety Town is a five-day safety awareness course where children learn by doing, taking turns as motorists and pedestrians in a child-size town complete with buildings, cars with seat belts, and a working traffic light. They'll meet a real law enforcement officer and firefighter, explore an ambulance and school bus, and learn essential lessons reinforced through songs, crafts and movies each day. Topics include pedestrian safety, "tricky people," dog bite prevention with real dogs, fire safety, railroad safety, how and when to call 911, seatbelts and car seats and bike safety. Your child will also receive a t-shirt, bike helmet, and music CD, making it a fun and memorable educational experience!
