Caring to Remember is an annual benefit founded in 2015 by leaders in the NYC real estate industry in response to the immediate need to support those impacted by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.

Over 7 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, and over 12 million are providing unpaid care for those diagnosed. In New York City alone, over 1 million people have the disease and/or are caregiving for those with the disease. This past year alone, the estimated economic value of unpaid caregiving in the US was a staggering $413 billion and an average caregiver provides 22 hours of unpaid care per week.

To date, Caring to Remember has raised over $2 million to Change the World of Alzheimer's and Dementia. Our core belief is that our impact will lead to change, and while there is currently not a cure for Alzheimer's or related dementias, there are instrumental ways we can make a difference in the lives of those impacted.

This year, Caring to Remember will continue to support the mission of CaringKind-New York City's leading expert in dementia care-for the creation, delivery, and promotion of comprehensive support services for individuals and families, and for the advancement of research aimed at eliminating Alzheimer's disease. A recognized leader in the field for over 45 years, CaringKind is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the proud recipient of the 2023 BOMA New York Civic Betterment Award.

In previous years, Caring to Remember has also supported the Alzheimer's Association and UsAgainstAlzheimer's to expand the reach of its impact. In 2025, additional proceeds will continue to support research to find a cure, as well as advocacy initiatives, including those focused on Medicare reform and broader access to dementia-related care and support.

Together, we are building a future where no one has to face Alzheimer's or dementia alone-and where change is not only possible, but within reach.
