Byung Joo Suh
porcelain
21.5" H x 15" W x 8" D
This surrealist sculpture by Byung Joo Suh relays a narrative that blurs the lines between history, fantasy, and reality. The piece shows a large white horse atop matte-black pedestals. A silver ladder hangs from a cavity in the horse's torso, bringing to mind the Trojan Horse. While the head of the horse is rendered in a realistic style, the barrel-shaped body lacks detail, its stylized form creating a mysterious juxtaposition with the realism of the head. This unique tabletop sculpture would be a thought-provoking addition to your collection!
