The John L. Doc Thomas '23 Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in 1992 with a founding gift from William C. Buck '46 and his wife, Laura Thomas Buck (son-in-law and daughter of Doc Thomas), and subsequent support from friends and family members, this fund honors the memory of John Lewis Thomas 1923. The fund is used to support students who possess the qualities that Doc exhibited, including sportsmanship, congeniality, and an eagerness to help others. Additional funding for this scholarship comes from the annual Doc Thomas 1923 Golf Classic. 

The Haverford School Athletic Endowment Fund

In 2009, this fund was established to be used to support the athletic program over and above the yearly budget allocation as determined by the Director of Athletics, Head of School, and Chief Financial Officer. Unused funds in any one year will be reinvested in the fund's balance.
