Penguin Random House Intellectual Freedom Task Force and New Yorkers for Better Libraries PAC cordially invites you to an evening dedicated to protecting the freedom to read in New York. While New York has long been a leader in upholding intellectual freedom, emerging book banning efforts remind us that these protections cannot be taken for granted. Our public libraries and schools must continue to serve as spaces where all readers have access to the full range of ideas and stories.

Join us in Albany for the New Yorkers for Freedom to Read Cocktail Reception at The Hollow!

Tuesday, May 20th, 2025
The Hollow Bar + Kitchen, 79 N Pearl St, Albany, NY
5:30pm to 7:30pm

This fundraiser will help sustain the vital role of libraries in providing open access to information, support the work of librarians and educators facing mounting pressures, and protect every community's right to a broad and diverse literary landscape. Together, we can reinforce New York's leadership in defending the freedom to read.
