In 1956, Don Larsen of the New York Yankees threw the only perfect game in World Series history during Game 5 against the Brooklyn Dodgers. He retired all 27 batters without allowing a single hit. This feat earned him the World Series Most Valuable Player Award and Babe Ruth Award.
