Two night stay in a Resort View Room at Hotel del Coronado, includes room, tax, resort charges

For more than 135 years, Hotel del Coronado has welcomed travelers from all over the world to experience the best of Southern California's coastal lifestyle. The Victorian building is the original, iconic beachfront hotel established in 1888, and is renowned for evoking a bygone era, with a star-studded legacy and magic of nearly two centuries.

After a six-year, more than $550 million restoration and revitalization that has touched all areas of the resort, The Del will complete its final phase by June: a restoration of the hotel's historic Victorian building.

In the original 1888 hotel that evokes the legacy and magic of two centuries, no two rooms are alike and all are full of character. The restoration of The Victorian guest rooms celebrates The Del's legendary history while improving function and design.

At the heart of The Victorian is the lush Garden courtyard, which has gone through extensive rehabilitation to bring this space back to the Victorian era thanks to the efforts of Burton Landscape Architecture Studio. At its center is the return of the "Naiad Queen" fountain, featuring a bronze statue that is an exact replica of the original by French sculptor Charles Cordier that was located at The Del from 1888 to 1912. Carapace Arts reproduced this classic piece by making a mold of a duplicate statue discovered in Port Townsend, Washington.

Garden-facing rooms were the most popular during The Del's early days. The restored Garden features a mix of eclectic botanical selections that showcase the Victorian aesthetic, along with citrus trees to reflect what was originally planted in 1888. Many of the courtyard's existing and historic plants were preserved including Tree Ferns, a large Floss Silk Tree, and Queen Palms.
