"Water Lillies", 2019, by Jill Hackney.

3 Separate Canvases - 30" x 30" each

"Water Lillies" was inspired by a week's stay at the Fondation Claude Monet surrounded by the iconic lily ponds Monet captured in his famed work.

Jill Hackney is a renowned artist born in Ohio, raised in Louisiana and now calls Pittsburgh home. Since 2000, Hackney's works has exhibited and been presented in galleries across the United States and in France.

Known for her still life's and landscapes, Hackney captures the impact of light on her subjects through her distinctive technique of layering paint using both vertical, linear strokes as well as a more painterly method. The end effect is a union of the senses, which awakens feelings of joy, serenity, and peace.
