Donate an Item NowElderCare of Alachua County would like to personally invite you to participate in our 18th Annual ElderCare of Alachua County Golf Tournament benefiting both the Meals on Wheels and Al'z Place programs. This year's tournament will again take place at Hawkstone Country Club and will be held on November 21, 2025.
All net proceeds raised from the tournament will benefit both seniors in need of a hot meal delivered to their home as well as those that need around-the-clock care once they have been diagnosed with dementia. Both of these programs are critical as the number of seniors affected increases each day. Our wait list today is well over 1,300 seniors. We estimate that there are 5,000 seniors at risk for going hungry!

About the Charity
ElderCare of Alachua County is a nonprofit organization and the Lead Agency for senior services in Alachua County, as designated by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs. Our mission is to support older adults through programs that promote independence, preserve dignity, and improve overall quality of life. We are sustained by federal, state, Alachua County, City of Gainesville, and United Way grant funding, as well as private donations and sponsor support. This generosity supports essential programs for older adults, including our food assistance programs, such as Meals on Wheels, Al'z Place (our adult day program for individuals living with dementia), Independence with Low Vision, and home and community-based services, including homemaking, personal care, and respite care. We also offer Freedom in Motion, an affordable transportation option in partnership with the City of Gainesville, the Greater Gainesville Chamber, and Uber. Additionally, we operate the Senior Recreation Center, a vibrant hub that serves thousands of members. Your support helps us meet the growing needs of our aging community, enabling seniors to live safely, independently, and with dignity.
Non-Profit Status
ElderCare of Alachua County is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization (EIN #59-3051104).
