Jon's decades of golf experience include playing on the Peabody High School and Salem State University golf teams, as well as serving as a tour caddy on the LPGA Tour from 1990-1992, where he worked alongside LPGA Hall of Fame member Marlene Hagee. His career also includes a role as an Assistant Golf Professional at Fairwood Golf and Country Club in Seattle, where he helped run the Junior Golf program and offered private lessons. As an accomplished amateur golfer, Jon has multiple Top 20 finishes in the Massachusetts Mid-Am and Public Links Championships, in addition to winning Club Championships at Gannon Golf Club and The Meadows.
