Great Rivers United Way's 1980s Murder Mystery Dinner

Please join Great Rivers United Way for "I Love the 80s (To Death)," a murder mystery dinner featuring good food, good fun, and a little detective work, all for a GREAT cause! Proceeds to benefit local mental wellbeing programs.

This event is 21+. Tickets are $80 each. Tables of 10 are $800. Tickets include heavy hors d'oeuvres and dessert, plus an evening of entertainment you won't soon forget!

Where to buy tickets

Ticket sales are closed as of Wednesday, October 8, at 11:59 p.m. You can still buy tickets for any of our three raffles and bid on online auction items until Saturday, October 11, at 8:45 p.m.

Seating

Tables of 10 are reserved. If you purchased single tickets and would like to request to be seated with another guest(s), please call (608) 796-1400. If all parties entered a shared "Company or Group Name," no need to do anything else - we already have your request.

Setting the Scene

"I Love the 80s (To Death)" - a murder mystery show presented by The Murder Mystery Co. - will transform the Radisson Hotel Ballroom into an epic Battle of the Bands...

Frito Baggins is in town for a killer concert, but his fans may be looking for a refund after this twisted tour turns tragic with a murder and a mystery to solve. This radical show could be super lame if no one can solve who was buggin' so we can all cool out and get the show started! Help the crowd and the detective figure out who ruined this totally tubular night, so everyone can life, take a chill pill. Make sure you are dressed with the times or someone may ask you to bag your head!

Will I be a suspect?

This year, we've invited some special guests to serve as our suspects, so all you have to do is sit back, take in all of the clues, and crack the case with those around you.

What should I wear?

Come as you are in jeans and a t-shirt; dress like you would for a night on the town; OR, let loose and have a little fun with our 1980s theme...

Grab your most righteous 80's concert gear: jean jackets and spandex leggings, big hair, bangles, and don't forget leg warmers and ripped jeans. These will be all the rage at this rocking night of mystery.

Online Silent Auction

The silent auction component of our Murder Mystery Dinner is taking place entirely online. This means that you don't have to attend the event to participate in the silent auction. Bidding begins on Wednesday, October 1, at 12:00 p.m., and ends during the event on Saturday, October 11, at 8:45 p.m.

Viewing Items & Placing Bids

To view the items up for bid or purchase raffle tickets, visit the ITEMS page starting October 1. In order to bid, you'll need to sign in or register, and save your payment information. Immediate payment is required for raffle tickets; winning bids will be automatically processed at 8:45 p.m. Set up items to watch or autobids with a maximum amount you are willing to pay. You'll be notified via text when you place a leading bid or when you're outbid.

Claiming Items

Those with winning bids who are attending the event will be able to pick up their items at the event following the announcement of the winning bids at 9:00 p.m. Those not attending the event should call our office at (608) 796-1400 on Monday, October 13, to schedule pick up.
