Kasandra Tenbarge is the Associate Director at First Things First Porter County and has been an integral part of the Duneland community for 12 years, with 9 years spent living here. She's married to Adam Tenbarge, the Assistant Principal at Chesterton High School, who has also been part of this community for 9 years. Together, they're the proud parents of two boys: Adam (AJ), and Grayson. While dancing for the Duneland Family YMCA Dancing Like the Stars event, Kasandra is joined by Adam as her dance partner. They both believe in the importance of family activities that support healthy lifestyles-values the YMCA has helped instill through youth sports leagues and community gatherings.

"The Y is important to me because it reflects what is great about our Duneland community: Helping families, the importance of physical and mental health, supporting our youngest and most experienced neighbors and friends," said Kasandra.

They're excited to spend this journey dancing together and turning rehearsals into fun date nights! Some fun facts about the two: Kasandra's hobbies include playing the ukulele, spending time in the garden, and working on her Master's in Philanthropy. She was also in show choir back in the day and has a real knack for recycling. Adam, meanwhile, hails from Huntingburg, Indiana-famous for being the filming location of A League of Their Own-adding his own interesting twist to their story.
"My wife and I both believe that staying active is important, and it is equally important for families to do activities together that are positive and encourage a strong, healthy lifestyle. ," Adam said.
