About The Fund

Founded to honor the life and legacy of Wilt Chamberlain, The Wilt Chamberlain Memorial Fund Scholarship Program is available to high school seniors residing in Philadelphia, Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery, Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties to help further their education at a four-year college or university, two-year community college, or vocational school.

 Recipients are selected based on several criteria including academic accomplishments, financial need, and their embodiment of Wilt Chamberlain's characteristics of hard work and dedication to serving others.

The Wilt Chamberlain Memorial Fund is a non-profit corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which enjoys tax-exempt status under the IRS code section 501(c)(3), EIN #23-3100335. The Wilt Chamberlain Memorial Fund is a distinct legal entity from Philadelphia 76ers, L.P., the legal entity which owns and operates the Philadelphia 76ers National Basketball Association team.
