Those who raise their right hand to serve in the Navy or Marine Corps make a profound commitment - one that demands immense dedication and sacrifice. It's a calling that places the needs of the nation above individual desires, requiring Sailors and Marines to stand ready to defend freedom and protect the vulnerable.
These sacrifices extend to the families, who also endure long separations, added responsibilities, and the emotional toll of having a loved one in harm's way.
Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) invites you to celebrate the Navy-Marine Corps family at an evening Illuminating Service as we raise important funds for the Society's mission of supporting active duty and retired Sailors and Marines and their families when their lives are affected by an unforeseen financial need.
As you gather at this event, please remember those standing watch - and take a moment to reflect on your vital contribution to NMCRS and the effect it has on the quality of life and the mission readiness of our Naval Services.

OUR WORK
Founded in 1904, Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society operates both ashore and afloat with more than 3,000 volunteers and a small cadre of staff who assist active-duty and retired Sailors, Marines, and their families during times of financial need. We provide interest-free loans and grants for essential needs like food, rent, utilities, vehicle repairs, emergency transportation, disaster relief and more. Each year the organization supports approximately 200,000 members of the Navy-Marine Corps team, including 40,000 clients who received more than $50 million in interest-free loans and grants.
