SALLY JANE BROWN is an artist, curator, and writer based in Morgantown, West Virginia. Working in drawing, painting, collage, and performance, her practice explores womanhood, motherhood, and the body through a feminist lens. Mentored by the late Wanda Ewing, she co-founded Les Femmes Folles, an initiative amplifying women in the arts. Brown has curated feminist exhibitions nationwide, exhibited internationally, and has work in two institutional collections. She has completed residencies in Tennessee and Argentina and illustrated several award-winning poetry books. Her writing appears in Hyperallergic, Women's Art Journal, and Panorama, among others. She holds degrees in Studio Art, Public Administration, and Art History, with a focus on feminist theory, and currently serves as Curator for West Virginia University Libraries and Art Editor for Thimble Literary Magazine.
