KADIE NUGENT is a textile artist living in Shawnee, Kansas. Nugent creates collages using hand-painted and printed textiles, thread, and paper to make sense of the world and their place in it. Nugent was an artist in residence at Charlotte Street Foundation in Kansas City, MO, Paducah AIR Studio in Paducah, KY, and at Lackland Well Artist Residency in Farmville, VA. They've assisted artists Ruth Miller at Penland School of Craft in Penland, NC and Delaney Smith at Arrowmont School of Craft in Gatlinburg, TN. Nugent earned their BFA in Fiber from the Kansas City Art Institute and their MFA in Textiles from the University of Kansas.
