SHEREE HOVSEPIAN (b. 1974, Isfahan, Iran) lives and works in New York City. Her multidisciplinary practice combines photography, sculpture, drawing, and collage to explore the body, materiality, and spatial relationships. She holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BFA/BA from the University of Toledo. Hovsepian's recent solo exhibition Figure Ground was presented at Uffner & Liu (New York, 2025), coinciding with the publication of her first monograph with JRP Editions. Her work has been featured in group and institutional exhibitions including the 59th Venice Biennale (The Milk of Dreams), Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts (2025), the International Center of Photography (2023), the Shah Garg Foundation (2023), and the Parrish Art Museum (2021). Her work is held in the permanent collections of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Studio Museum in Harlem, and the Bronx Museum of the Arts.
