KEEGAN DUNN, raised in Omaha, Nebraska, is a Nebraska-based ecological researcher and photographer with backgrounds in conservation biology and environmental philosophy. Dunn's work utilizes symbols incorporated within the landscape of the Great Plains to formulate memories shared across great distances associated with being raised in the Platte River Basin. These memories form an overarching question within Dunn's research: How do environmental and cultural symbols impact our ability to conceptualize, advocate for, and protect our natural and built landscapes. In 2024, they graduated from Metropolitan Community College (Omaha) with an Associates in Applied Sciences. That summer, Dunn featured as the Artist-in-Residence for the Cedar Point Biological Station (Ogallala, NE) and The Homestead National Historic Park (Beatrice, NE). Dunn will receive a Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Sciences in the Spring of 2026 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dunn was an intern with Bemis Center in 2023.
