JAMIE BURMEISTER is an artist whose work has been shown globally in galleries, museums, and public spaces. He is best known for his "vermin.me" project, featuring over 1,000 installations of small ceramic figures across six continents, forty-six countries, and all fifty US states. His art has been exhibited at major institutions like the Joslyn Art Museum, Des Moines Art Center, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Akron Art Museum, Sheldon Museum of Art, and Nicolaysen Art Museum. Burmeister has completed commissions for the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Omaha Children's Museum, and the South Omaha Library, among others. He has received multiple awards, including the Nebraska Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowships and Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards. He holds an MFA in Sculpture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
