IFAW Party for a Porpoise

IFAW's signature fundraising event, Party for a Porpoise, benefits the work our team is doing throughout Cape Cod - and around the globe - to provide rapid response and humane care to stranded marine mammals. The event also supports education and advocacy campaigns to help protect the threatened North Atlantic right whale, of which fewer than 360 remain.

This year's gala will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Our celebratory evening will include cocktails and small bites overlooking the Nantucket Sound, a sustainable and locally sourced seated dinner, a live auction offering unique experiences, fund-a-need appeal, special presentations, and live music ~ bring your dancing shoes!

The dress code for the event is "Cape Cod cocktail" - a relaxed take on cocktail attire.

Net proceeds are used to support marine rescue and conservation.

The amount of a contribution that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the amount contributed, reduced by the value of any goods or services provided by the organization. Accordingly, no amount is eligible for an income tax deduction.

IFAW is recognized as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c) (3) of the internal Revenue Code, and has an IRS identification number of 31-1594197.  Contributions are deductible to the extent allowed by law.
