Chevron of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade
This olive-colored embroidered patch represents the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, a distinguished unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. Established in 1992, the brigade traces its lineage back to the 1st Turkmenistan Rifle Division formed in 1922, making it one of Ukraine's oldest active military formations. Headquartered in Mukachevo, Zakarpattia Oblast, the brigade specializes in mountain warfare and operates under Operational Command West. Its motto, "For Ukraine, for its freedom!", reflects its enduring commitment to national defense.
The chevron measures approximately 7 x 8 cm and features high-quality embroidery on durable olive-green fabric. It includes a Velcro backing for easy attachment to uniforms and tactical gear.
This insignia not only signifies the brigade's historical legacy but also honors its active role in Ukraine's ongoing defense efforts.
