About the Event: The Evening of Connection is a unique gathering for community stakeholders designed to foster meaningful relationships and a deeper sense of community. Through guided conversations and interactive experiences, 150 attendees will explore the power of connection, appreciation, and shared support in both personal and professional spaces.
This event offers a rare opportunity to engage in authentic dialogue, reflect on personal and collective strengths, and celebrate the impact of showing up for one another. Guests will leave inspired, empowered, and reminded of the abundance already present within their community.
Keynote Speaker Dr. Cori Wong-Dr. Cori Wong is a passionate speaker, writer, community-centered educator, and owner of Positive Philosophy Consulting. Values of liberation, love, creativity, and freedom inform the means and ends for her work. Support, truth-telling, humor, intimacy, and playfulness are among the essential ingredients.
Cori began practicing public philosophy in 2009 through her blog and YouTube channel. Her work has since been featured in two TEDx talks, numerous keynotes, journals, podcasts, and the Oprah Magazine. In 2021, she left leadership roles in higher education to deeply engage with her local community as a philosopher with the people. She continues experimenting with creative projects as a meta-philosophical performance artist.
