Ulice Payne Jr. was the first African American to be named President & Chief Executive Officer of a Major League Baseball franchise when appointed by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2002. Currently, Payne is the president of Addison-Clifton, LLC and serves on the board of Foot Locker, ManpowerGroup and WEC Energy Group. Payne was inducted into the Wisconsin Business Hall of Fame in 2022 and was recognized as one of the 101 Most Influential Minorities in Sports by Sports Illustrated in 2003. Payne was also a member of Marquette University's 1977 NCAA Championship basketball team.
