This stunning fiber art composition entitled "Tapestry of Connection" represents the collective creativity and collaborative spirit of our Lower Elementary community. Through the ancient craft of wet felting, our young artisans transformed vibrantly colored wool roving into this unique textile piece that captures both individual expression and group harmony.

Created through a multistep process, students carefully arranged layers of hand-dyed merino wool in rich shades of teal, burgundy, azure, and forest green, and then used water, soap, and gentle agitation to permanently bond the fibers together. The resulting piece features a fascinating interplay of colors and textures, with meandering strands of red yarn creating pathways that symbolically connect the various elements.

This one-of-a-kind artwork not only showcases the students' developing artistic skills but also embodies important values that our school cultivates: cooperation, creativity, and appreciation for traditional crafts. Each child contributed their unique vision to this community project, making it a true representation of collaborative learning.
