How would you like to create something with your own hands? Bid on a hands-on woodworking experience designed for kids or adults with no prior experience required! This guided workshop begins with a clear overview of essential woodworking tools, including the bandsaw, table saw, and other shop equipment, with an emphasis on safety and proper use.

The workshop will take place in Mr. Connelly's woodworking shop, located near SCS. Participants will work with a selection of quality hardwoods and learn to use a 12" planer, jointer/planer, sander, palm router, and bar clamps while creating two cutting boards or bread boards.

  • One board is finished and ready to take home the same day
  • The second board will be ready for pickup after the required drying period

All materials are included, and instruction is tailored to the participant's age and experience level. *Note: High-end wood from Peach State Lumber is an option but must be purchased separately and discussed with Mr. Connelly.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the workshop.

A rewarding, creative experience perfect for beginners and aspiring woodworkers alike that results in beautiful and functional handmade boards.
