This 83"x59" quilt has bright cheerful colors and butterflies with complementary yellows. It is hand tied with red crochet cotton and accented with hand binding. Butterflies often serve as a symbol of Christ's resurrection for us.

The material is cotton with a polyester batting, machine sewn. Wash with care and allow to air dry.

This quilt was made by the "Piecemakers" at Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood, MN. We meet every Tuesday from 9:00 to 12:00. The quilt was cut, pieced, tied and sewn with smiling faces and lots of love and care by our group. All of our quilts are donated to shelters, food shelves, and within the community.

A prior member who started the "Piecemakers" quilting group was unable to complete quilt #1. Our group was able to finish it, and carry on her legacy.

All of our quilts are blessed by Pastor Amanda and our congregation with this quote, "We thank you for the variety of gifts that compose these quilts: donations of fabrics, thread and sewing machines, those who cut the squares, design the patterns, sewed the tops, ironed the fabric, made the backs and fillers, tied and stitched the bindings, provided publicity, donated boxes, packed the quilts, brought food to sustain the quilters and contributed money for delivering these quilts."
"We thank you for the fellowship of all who work together to make the quilts, the laughter, the shared stories, the joy of crafting something with one's hands and heart for another and the time to reflect and wonder about the recipients."
