The 2021 Intrepid embodies everything one desires Syrah to be. The 2021 vintage has very likely produced the best expression of the variety ever seen from the estate. Its jet-black, purple- hued color alludes to the impressive concentration of blueberry, blackberry, plum, earth, and black pepper spice aromas. The 73% new French oak, with extended elevage of 27 months, provides cardamom, clove, aniseed, charred wood nuances, and a hint of vanilla complexity. With ample yet refined tannins, this opulent and full-bodied expression of Syrah is seamless and offers absolute pleasure in its youth with surprising approachability. Fantastic balance of acidity adds so much freshness and tension alongside the formidable structure of this wine. It creates an indestructible perception that even the most patient collectors can test. 100 Pts!

The 2021 Nines has become the most intriguing expression of Grenache from our estate, epitomizing the variety with its delicate opulence and serious concentration. Crafted thoughtfully each year, there is an incredible drive to the wine. It is alive and focused, flaunting a beautiful acidity that carries an obvious energy throughout. Raspberry, cranberry, wild strawberry, spice, dried herbs, dark red fruit and violet jump out of the glass, preparing you for what comes next. The medium-plus tannins are puckering at the front of the palate but lead into a velvety embrace. Despite its medium-plus to full body and considerable concentration of flavors, The Nines feels light on its feet as it glides across the palate with a noticeable resurgence of flavor on an impossibly long and complex finish.
