Following the success of PlumpJack Estate Winery and CADE Estate Winery, Gavin Newson, Gordon Getty, and John Conover envisioned opening a third winery. In the Fall of 2011, an opportunity to round out their trio of wineries presented itself as a historic property in the Stags Leap District. This prime piece of land would be the future site of Odette Estate Winery.

Odette is a fabled princess, a mistress, and a judge-symbolic of their wines, which embody its namesake's femininity, strength, and power. The name was inspired by Shakespeare and other historical works, including Proust and Tchaikovsky's ballet Swan Lake. Odette was also the name of a French judge from the 1976 Paris Tasting that put Napa and Stags Leap wines on the map.

This lot can be picked up at Charlotte Wine + Food offices located at 576 Griffith Road Charlotte, NC 28217 the week following the auction closing or it may be shipped via Dilworth Packing Company for an additional shipping fee TBD determined at the time of shipment. Shipping fee is the responsibility of the winning bidder.
