Let's pitch in for our friends at the Bridger-Teton! Like many public land managers across the country, the Bridger-Teton National Forest is facing a shortage of wilderness rangers and trail crews, just as the need for stewardship continues to grow and the season is about to begin. To help meet this challenge, Friends of the Bridger-Teton has hired five new seasonal team members for summer 2025. These professionals, all former seasonal Forest Service employees, bring years of on-the-ground experience to support trail maintenance, manage impacts, and help keep the forest safe and accessible for everyone. Projects they will be focusing on this summer include restoring over 40 miles of trails in the Willow Creek area, repairing fire-damaged sections of the Continental Divide Trail, tackling erosion and overgrowth in the Kemmerer District, and replacing a failing puncheon bridge at Two Ocean Pass in the Teton Wilderness. They may also provide work crew support for TU projects in partnership with the BTNF.
With your help, Jackson Hole Trout Unlimited would like to help support these these efforts, covering critical costs for Friends of the Bridger-Teton for staffing and operations. By contributing, you are investing in the long-term health of the Bridger-Teton National Forest and helping sustain access to the public lands, trails, and fishing that we all value.
