Police called us to assist with a heart wrenching scene in February 2025. While doing a welfare check, they came across a vacated home where the owners had left everything behind - including their pets. One dog was found deceased, as well as bird in a cage. But, we were able to save Gilligan. He was making himself as small as possible trying to hide from us in the tiniest corner of the house. He was terrified. We scooped him up to bring him to Stray Rescue, and we also brought back his deceased companions to have them cremated and give them some dignity in death. Gilligan was so skinny and shut down when he first arrived, but even quicker than we thought, he started opening up to us. We knew that if we went slowly, he wanted nothing more than to be loved. Once he gained some weight, he went to a foster home to continue getting more comfortable with people. His forever family found him not long after, and he is living the very best life - just like he deserves.

If you are not local to the St. Louis Area, shipping is available for this item upon request (for an additional cost which will be calculated for each piece individually).
