The Challenger 650 is a variant of the Challenger 600 and was introduced in 2015 with a redesigned interior cabin, updated Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics, and enhanced engines for a boost in takeoff thrust.

The thrust boost shortens the necessary field length for the 650's takeoffs and landings, letting it fly in and out of more airports than the competition. The wide, luxurious cabin, low operating costs for its class, and history of reliability are some of the reasons the Challenger 650 is still in production today.

The 650 has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles. The twin GE CF34-3B MTO engines each produce 9,220 pounds of thrust to support a top speed of 652 knots and normal cruising speed of 529 knots.
