You and up to 9 guests have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn hands-on about how modern astronomy is done. Bring your kids; your grandkids; your friends; your neighbors!

Start with a tour of the Plane Wave factory in Adrian; MI; an hour outside of Detroit; where the most advanced telescopes in the world are crafted. From the grinding of gold plated mirrors to absorb faint light to the hand winding of motor coils to precisely control the pointing of the telescopes while compensating for the Earth's 1,000 MPH rotation through testing and shipping a 3,500lb system to a university, Plane Wave meticulously builds observatory-class telescopes for universities; governments; and private enthusiasts worldwide.

Next; your private session with professional astronomers will teach you about modern astronomical observation and its uses in science; defense; and exploration. As darkness sets in; experience a private tour of the night sky with stargazing and hands-on astrophotography using these advanced instruments. With your own eyes and these incredible instruments; you'll be able to see objects that are hundreds of millions of light years away.

You will select an object in the night sky to be captured by a professional astrophotographer and receive a gallery-worthy metal print for display in your home or office.

You'll take home a "smart telescope" for your own use to continue exploring and share the wonders of the night sky with your family and friends. Your telescope can be set up anywhere in minutes and you can share your viewing experience on your iPad or phone.

Expand knowledge of the cosmos with a second "smart telescope" to donate to the school of your choice, giving the next generation unparalleled access to astronomical observation.

Your tour will be led by Alex Hawkinson and Rick Hedrick, co-founders of Observable Space; the largest telescope network on earth; so after you have learned about how everything works through the experience; you'll be able to join a community of enthusiasts; and share your discoveries and questions with others on an ongoing basis.
