Kaili Chun (born 1962) is a Native Hawaiian sculptor, installation artist, and lecturer at Kapiolani Community College. Her work often explores themes of Hawaiian culture, history, and the impact of Westernization, using a mix of natural and industrial materials. Born on Oahu, she attended Kamehameha Schools and is of mixed ancestry, with both parents being part Native Hawaiian.
Chun earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Princeton University, where she studied under renowned ceramic artist Toshiko r he. She later received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1999.
Chun's installations are known for their deeply rooted narratives, reflecting on issues of identity, cultural preservation, and the intersections of traditional Hawaiian values with contemporary life.
