Own a piece of artistic history! This 18" bronze, titled "The Great Escape" by D. Michael Thomas from Buffalo, WY was done in 1996 bronze, is 6/25 sold, and was sold out in 2002. Thomas is a storyteller and speaks with his hands to create work that captures a way of life that has either gone to history or is fast disappearing. "The Great Escape" is a horse who's blinders were intended to protect him from the real and imaginary danger behind him now they only protect him from his own common sense. Once familiar working clothes that he wore when he was employed to make his little meadow circles have now become the makings of a runaway. One last snort at the wreck developing around him and he takes off for the biggest, fastest, and freest circle of his life.
