Bring a little German tradition to your Christmas breakfast or any holiday festivity this year with a homemade traditional German Christmas stollen!

This bread will be lovingly mixed, kneaded, and baked in the home of one of our Washington Open moms, Marie Ngo. She and her family have been making Christmas stollen as long as she can remember.

Stollen is a delicious sweet yeast bread, made with candied fruits and sliced almonds. If you wish to have marzipan in the center, your wish will be granted! The stollen will be baked as early as December 1, and you can keep it in your freezer until you're ready to serve.

Serving is simple. Warm it in the oven at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 or 20 minutes, add a little more powdered sugar to the top, slice and serve!
