Deputy Sam Brownlee lived with a spirit that embraced both adventure and humor. He LOVED to camp, enjoyed fishing (even if he wasn't great at it), and could often be found hiking or exploring Colorado's beauty. One of his favorite traditions was staying at the Stanley Hotel-camera in hand-wandering the halls in search of orbs.
Sam had a playful side, loving zombie movies like The Walking Dead and Shaun of the Dead, and an easygoing style of Levi's, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and his trusty "cop" cargo pants. He loved food and loved to cook-his Zuppa Toscana was a household favorite-and he was handy with just about anything. The 80's were his era, from music to pop culture, and he lived them out loud.
He cherished road trips but absolutely hated flying and water (since he never learned to swim). Breakfast burritos always made him smile, and he was known for keeping his cars-personal and patrol-spotless and meticulously maintained. Sam's life was full of love, laughter, and the kind of everyday joys that made him unforgettable. His memory continues to inspire with the warmth, humor, and heart he brought into every moment.
