Take a 2-hour private tour for up to six (6) people with an expert guide from Bowery Boys Walks and see the stunning mansions on the Upper East Side!

The Gilded Age Mansions of Fifth Avenue Walking Tour focuses on the design and history of these great mansions and their owners who constructed them as lavish displays of their wealth and status in Gilded Age New York City. The tour starts at East 70th St & Fifth Avenue (at the Richard Morris Hunt Memorial), just down the block from the Frick Collection and ends at the Cooper-Hewitt (2 East 91st Street), the former homes of two protagonists on this tour - Henry Clay Frick (1849-1919) and Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919). Overall, the tour covers about a mile of walking.

The tour is organized by Bowery Boys Walks, specializing in New York history tours and a partner of The Bowery Boys New York History Podcast.

Valid through 3.10.2026 for six (6) people. Experience must be scheduled 3-4 weeks in advance. Scheduling the private tour depends on finding a mutual time that works for the guide and the group. Subject to availability. Experience is non-transferable and cannot be resold or re-auctioned.
