    • 2013 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon

    • 2013 M. Etain Cabernet Sauvignon

    • 2014 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon

    • 2014 M. Etain Cabernet Sauvignon

  • Private visit for four (4) guests to the J.J. Cohn Estate

The Scarecrow story begins in a patch of earth with a fabled past - the J.J. Cohn Estate, where Scarecrow grapes are born. These highly prized "Old Men" continue to produce uncommonly rich fruit-the hallmark of Scarecrow wine.

Widely regarded as one of Napa Valley's most sought-after cult wines, Scarecrow represents the pinnacle of rarity, history, and craftsmanship.

This extraordinary offering includes four magnums from two of Napa Valley's most celebrated vintages, alongside an exclusive private visit to the J.J. Cohn Estate - a property never open to the public.

The successful bidder will receive one of each of the 2013 & 2014 magnums of Scarecrow and M. Etain. These highly acclaimed vintages earned 100 points from Robert Parker for both 2013 and 2014 Scarecrow, cementing their place among Napa Valley's most collectible wines.

Winemaker Celia Welch writes of the 2013 Scarecrow:
"The Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon has been woven from the most balanced and luscious of the vineyard blocks on the historic J.J. Cohn Estate. Abundant with aromas of ripe purple berries, raspberries rolled in dark cocoa, hints of tarragon, cedar and tobacco and undertones of caramel and white tea, this wine provides a structured yet velvety entry, a mid-palate bursting with fresh fruit flavors, and a finish which demonstrates both power and elegance."

Winemaker Celia Welch writes of the 2014 Scarecrow:
"Lovely cassis, black plum, violets, dried blackberries on the vine, baking spices, chestnut, and just a hint of fresh earth interconnect in the very forward aromas of this unmistakably Rutherford Cabernet… The finish is of wild plums, black cherry jam, and a hint of warm vanilla."

You and three guests will also be granted a visit to the renowned J.J. Cohn Estate, home to Scarecrow and M. Etain Wines, and their founder, Bret Lopez. Walk through the famed "Old Men" block, original plantings dating back to 1945 - among the last surviving St. George rootstock vines in Napa Valley - and taste fruit from what Wine Spectator has called "one of the world's greatest vineyards."

The J.J. Cohn Estate is the vintner's private home and is never open to the public.

*Must be on a pre-arranged mutually agreeable date.

*Wine associated with this lot will be provided by Scarecrow at the time of experience redemption.
