Founded by three lifelong friends, Memento Mori is a limited-production winery devoted to crafting wines of balance, depth, and meaning. Their name - Latin for "remember you must die"- serves as a powerful reminder to fully embrace life, a philosophy that resonates in every bottle.

Winemaker Sam Kaplan brings this vision to life through a masterful blend sourced from some of Napa Valley's most celebrated vineyard sites, including Beckstoffer Dr. Crane, Las Piedras, Vine Hill Ranch, and Oakville Ranch.

The 2023 "Flagship" Cabernet is sourced from five single-vineyard sites throughout Napa Valley. Exotic aromas of crushed blackberries, Mirabelle plums, mocha, creme de cassis, gravel, pipe tobacco, and spiced toffee meld effortlessly into an unctuous palate full of wild boysenberries, blueberries, black tea, iron, cassis, cardamom, and wet stone. Additional layers of truffle, leather, and warm earth continue to evolve with time in the glass, framed by exquisite tannins and a crimson acidity that perfectly exemplify the vintage. Sophisticated and balanced, the plush finish brings this decadently layered wine to its beautiful climax.

Collection of California Sales Tax: Unless a valid resale permit is presented to seller prior to the sale, purchaser will be required to pay all state and local retail sales taxes applicable on the date of sale - amounting to 8.25%. Resale permits will be accepted only for businesses that are reasonably expected to buy and sell alcohol. Sales tax will be collected on the purchase price of each tangible item included in an auction lot.
