Experience "William Penn's" Philadelphia, followed by dinner for 8 in an historic Society Hill residence.

How fortunate are we to live in this historic city, the birthplace of America! This auction package is a great opportunity for you and seven friends to immerse yourselves in the early history of our country as we approach the 250th birthday of the US in 2026!

Enjoy a private 60-90 minute walking tour through "William Penn's Philadelphia", led by St. Joseph's Prep History Teacher Bill Connors. Explore the City of Brotherly Love in and around Independence Park as it looked in the colonial and early federal period. Tour Penn's city, highlighting important houses of worship including Arch Street Meeting House, Christ Church, Old St. Joe's, and Mother Bethel A.M.E. Church at 6th & Lombard.

After the tour, enjoy a catered dinner for eight in a private residence, the home of current GMAHS parents, Melissa and Brian Pinheiro (P'27) in the Society Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia. The Pinheiro home was built circa 1831 in the Greek Revival style by French-born merchant, banker and philanthropist Stephen Girard. The home is included in the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places.
